VISITING VISA DOCUMENTS:-

DOCUMENTS FROM GERMANY:-

•  An invitation letter from the Inviter/ Sponsor from Germany mentioning name, address and duration of stay with the sign.
•  Formal Obligation Letter (“Verpflichtungserklärung”) according to 66-68 AufenthG.
•  Bank statement for the last 3 months
•  Payslips for the last 3 months
•  Accommodation proof – (Rental Agreement copy or property deed copy)
• If inviter is a German citizen: Copy of Passport with all stamped pages
• If inviter is not a German citizen: A4 sized copy of inviter's passport all stamped pages and valid visa or residence permit.

TOURIST VISA DOCUMENTS:-

DOCUMENTS FROM INDIA:-

• Original Passport with validity of minimum 6 months (from the date of travel) and minimum two blank pages for visa stamping
• Old passports (if Any)
• Copy of visa stamped pages of the passport (If any)
• One visa application form duly filled and signed
• Covering Letter
• Personal bank statement for the last 6 months
• 2 recent passport size coloured photographs with matt or semi Matt finish, 60%-80% face coverage, white background and without border (Size: 35mm x 45mm)
• The photograph should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas.
• Hotel confirmation for the period of stay
• Onward and return ticket itinerary
• Travel Insurance for the travel+15 days additional after travel date

If Self Employed 

• Covering Letter from applicant on business letterhead stating his name, designation, purpose and duration of visit duly signed by authorized signatory and addressed to – The Visa Officer, Consulate of Germany, Chennai
• Company Registration Certificate / Certificate of Incorporation
• Company Profile
• Partnership deed/MOA
• Personal & Company ITR for last 3yrs
• Personal & Company Bank Statement for last six months mentioning the Bank's name, Bank's Telephone Number clearly

If Employed

• Employer NOC letter for the travel to Germany
• Covering Letter from applicant on company letterhead (if any) mentioning the travel date and details Personal ITR for last 3yrs
• Salary slips for 6 month
• Personal Bank Statement for the last six months mentioning the Bank's name, Bank's Telephone Number with bank seal and signature.
• Personal IT papers for the last 3 years

If Student

• No objection letter from school/college/university
• Parents have to provide ITR, Bank statements and NOC letters.

If the applicant is a minor (if not travelling along with their parents)

• Birth Certificate (original and A4 sized copy)
•  Letter of School confirming current school admission and sanctioned leave of absence (original, no copy)
•  Consent Letter from both parents regarding child's travel (original, no copy)
•  A4 sized copy of Parents' Passports.
•  Death Certificate of parent(s) - if applicable (original and A4 sized copy)
•  Court Order regarding child's custody - if applicable (original and A4 sized copy)

If Retired

•  Pension proof (If any)
•  Bank statement for last six months
•  IT papers for the last 3 years

If Agriculturist

•  VAO letter
•  Property documents copy translated in English.
